I've had a nice hot dinner of tortellini with a cheesy sauce. The sauce didn't smell too great so I added in fried mushrooms, onions and garlic. I'm hoping that I'll retain at least some of the heat from my dinner to keep me warm through the evening. But other than the tip of my tongue, which I managed to burn, the rest of my body is rapidly cooling down.
I won't be sat here in front of the computer for long because, while my room is probably one of the warmest in the house when the boiler is working, it's one of the coldest when it's not. You see when they did the pipes to the boiler they managed to expose some of the stone beneath the plaster and there is a hole that goes right through to the outside. I get a draft sat here even when the boiler is on. Now feel frozen solid while I sit here.
I was watching Gremlins but I'm not sure I can really be bothered to watch the rest. The thing is, I don't much feel like watching or doing anything. I feel like wrapping up in bed and going to sleep. Not that I'm tired yet and it's far too early for that. I guess I'm just bored and don't feel like doing any of the things I could do. It's definitely too cold to do some stitching - although I've really got to start again or I'll never get back into it. I've had a singing/piano session so I shouldn't bother the neighbours with my screeching any longer. I may try writing but anything I write tends to be crap and nonsense. And I could play on my Gamecube.. I suppose I could try and find out how to get past the various things I'm stuck at in the various games I'm meant to be playing. I really don't know what I'll spend the rest of the evening doing. Probably getting steadily more bored. American Chopper is on later so that's at least an hour of TV I really want to watch. I think we must have missed American Hotrods last night.
If only Rat could have left later. If transport wasn't such a hassle he could just about be leaving now. I wouldn't have eaten so early and I would only have to waste the next four or so hours. As it is I've had three hours to waste on top of that.
I'd ask for suggestions to alleviate my boredom but I suspect I'll be shutting off the computers once I've done this so I won't have to worry later tonight.
